The Brazilian Metascience Research Group (BMRG) is an extension of the Center for Evidence-Based Medicine of the Bahia School of Medicine and Public Health headquartered in Salvador, Bahia, that develop, reflect, discusses and divulgate metascience and evidence-based medicine.

We have the mission to expose the actual condition of the scientific environment, with data and evidences, aiming the disturbance of the scientific community mind.

We are researching the incidence of substudies publication after originally negative clinical trials and rate of positivation in leading health scientific journals.

WHAT WE DO

We are developing and validating a scientific index of integrity among authors of articles published in major journals as new metric for evaluating the scientific ecosystem.

We are analyzing the profile of adaptive clinical trials and assessing their scientific integrity through protocol registration, external monitoring committee, sponsoring and other aspects.

We are analyzing changes in the levels of evidence and strength of recommendations in key Cardiology Guidelines published this decade, focusing on Medical Reversal and its implication in clinical practice and science.
